CD Replication is the process of mass-producing audio or data onto Compact Discs (CDs). This process starts with your content or source files, a glass master is created, followed by molds and stampers, each disc is then molded indvidually from raw materials, next on to silk screen or offset printing, and finally packaging. For a more complete description of the how CDs are created see How Compact Discs are made.
CD Replication normally takes approx 10 - 12 business days for the entire process. It is possible to replicate discs in 4 or 7 business days, and this requires paying rush fees. These rush time slots are limited, and are on a first come - first served basis.
CD Duplication is the process of producing audio or data onto Recordable Compact Discs (CDs) in small or large quantities. For a more complete description of the how CDs are created see How Compact Discs are made.
CD Duplication can take anywhere from a few hours, up to even 7 business days depending on quantities and the type of packaging involved.
